Senior Frontend Software Engineer – Angular (EC-67)

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Angular and modern frontend engineering to join a client-facing engineering team. You will design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, high-performance web applications that support business-critical systems. Experience with Java and Spring Boot is a strong advantage.

This role offers the opportunity to work on enterprise-grade solutions, shape frontend architecture, and collaborate with cross-functional teams on modern, cloud-ready platforms. AI-assisted coding is a core part of how we work: we expect engineers to use AI coding assistants and agentic tools to speed up development, prototyping, debugging, testing, documentation, and code exploration, while keeping strong engineering standards for security, maintainability, accessibility, and code quality.

If you are passionate about clean code, great user experiences, scalable frontend design, and using AI to boost developer productivity, this role is for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using Angular and TypeScript.

  • Define and evolve frontend architecture, including project structure, module boundaries, shared libraries, and coding standards.

  • Build responsive, modular, reusable UI components and design-system elements following modern Angular best practices (standalone components, Signals, new control flow).

  • Implement robust state management using Signals, RxJS, and/or NgRx (Store or Signal Store).

  • Build complex, reactive forms with validation, dynamic controls, and good error handling.

  • Integrate frontend applications with RESTful APIs and backend services, handling authentication, error states, loading states, and data caching.

  • Optimize application performance, including change detection strategy, lazy loading, deferrable views, bundle size, and Core Web Vitals.

  • Implement server-side rendering (SSR) and hydration where needed for performance and SEO.

  • Ensure applications meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1/2.2 AA) and work consistently across browsers and devices.

  • Apply frontend security best practices, including XSS prevention, secure token handling, and Content Security Policy.

  • Write thorough automated tests (unit, component, and end-to-end) to ensure high code quality.

  • Work closely with UX/UI designers to turn designs (e.g. Figma) into pixel-accurate, accessible interfaces.

  • Use AI-assisted coding tools as part of everyday development for code generation, prototyping, refactoring, debugging, testing, technical research, and documentation.

  • Review, understand, test, and validate all AI-generated code before it reaches production, checking it for correctness, security, performance, accessibility, maintainability, and alignment with project standards.

  • Collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams to clarify requirements and deliver aligned technical solutions.

  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and knowledge-sharing sessions, and mentor other engineers.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing applications and production issues.

  • Maintain technical documentation covering frontend architecture, components, integrations, and development standards.

What We Expect:

  • 5+ years of hands-on frontend software development experience, with at least 3 years of strong Angular experience on production applications.

  • Strong proficiency in Angular (v19+ preferred), TypeScript, JavaScript ES6+, HTML5, CSS3/SCSS, and responsive design.

  • Deep understanding of Angular architecture: standalone components, dependency injection, routing and guards, interceptors, lifecycle hooks, and change detection (including OnPush and zoneless concepts).

  • Hands-on experience with Angular Signals and strong knowledge of RxJS (operators, subscription management, and reactive patterns).

  • Experience with state management approaches such as NgRx, NgRx Signal Store, or service-based state with Signals.

  • Strong experience with reactive forms, custom validators, and complex form workflows.

  • Proven ability to diagnose and fix frontend performance issues using browser DevTools, Lighthouse, and bundle analysis.

  • Experience building and maintaining reusable component libraries or design systems (e.g. Angular Material, Angular CDK, or custom).

  • Solid knowledge of web accessibility (WCAG, ARIA, keyboard navigation) and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Understanding of frontend security, including XSS, CSRF, CSP, and secure handling of OAuth2/OIDC and JWT-based authentication.

  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and working with JSON, including error handling, retries, and caching strategies.

  • Experience with frontend testing tools such as Jasmine/Karma or Jest for unit tests and Cypress or Playwright for end-to-end tests.

  • Familiarity with modern build tooling (Angular CLI, esbuild/Vite-based builders, npm), linting, and formatting (ESLint, Prettier).

  • Understanding of object-oriented design, clean code, SOLID principles, and common design patterns.

  • Familiarity with Git, pull-request workflows, automated builds, and modern CI/CD practices.

  • Proven hands-on experience using AI-assisted coding tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or equivalent in day-to-day development.

  • Ability to use AI effectively across the development lifecycle, including implementation, refactoring, unit testing, debugging, code and legacy code analysis, migrations, documentation, and rapid prototyping.

  • Practical knowledge of prompt engineering, agentic coding workflows, and AI-assisted code reviews.

  • Ability to critically review, test, and improve AI-generated code, with the understanding that AI complements rather than replaces sound engineering judgment, testing, security practices, and architectural thinking.

  • Awareness of responsible AI considerations, including data privacy, intellectual property, information security, hallucination risks, and protection of client information.

  • Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.

  • Understanding of modern software architectures, including microservices and modular systems, and how frontends integrate with them.

  • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

  • Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions in a client-driven environment.

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

Added Advantages:

  • Experience with Java (17+) and Spring Boot, including RESTful API development, Spring Data JPA with MySQL, and Spring Security (OAuth2, JWT), with the ability to contribute to full-stack features and API contract design.

  • Experience with Angular version migrations and upgrades, including ng update, moving to standalone components, Signals, and the new control flow, and resolving breaking changes and library compatibility issues.

  • Experience with Nx monorepos, micro-frontend architectures (e.g. Module Federation), or Storybook-based component libraries.

  • Experience with real-time features (WebSocket, Server-Sent Events) and internationalization (i18n).

  • Domain knowledge of event ticketing, reservation, e-commerce, or other transactional platforms.
