Senior Delivery Manager (EC-59)

ROLE OVERVIEW

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Delivery Manager with strong experience in software delivery, technology consulting, client relationship management, and people leadership.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), the Senior Delivery Manager will lead Eyepax’s delivery function, overseeing multiple client engagements and approximately 10 cross-functional software engineering teams.

The role is responsible for ensuring predictable and high-quality delivery, building and maintaining strong long-term client relationships, developing high-performing teams, improving operational maturity, and supporting client retention, account growth, and overall business performance.

The successful candidate will combine strong delivery leadership with exceptional client relationship management, commercial awareness, sound technical understanding, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-client software consulting environment.

DELIVERY LEADERSHIP

  • Own the successful delivery of multiple client engagements, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within agreed scope and budget, and to consistently high-quality standards.

  • Provide leadership and oversight for approximately 10 cross-functional software engineering teams across multiple client engagements.

  • Maintain end-to-end visibility of project health, delivery commitments, milestones, dependencies, risks, quality, utilization, and financial performance.

  • Proactively identify and resolve delivery risks, resource constraints, dependencies, and other issues before they impact clients or project outcomes.

  • Establish clear accountability across delivery teams and ensure commitments made to clients are realistic, understood, tracked, and consistently met.

  • Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, transparency, predictability, and continuous improvement across the delivery organization.

CLIENT RELATIONSHIP, SUCCESS & ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT

  • Build and maintain strong, trusted, long-term relationships with clients, acting as a senior point of contact and delivery partner for strategic accounts.

  • Develop a strong understanding of each client’s business, priorities, expectations, challenges, and technology landscape to ensure Eyepax consistently delivers meaningful business value.

  • Maintain regular communication with key client stakeholders and proactively manage expectations, concerns, delivery risks, and changes.

  • Lead executive client reviews, governance meetings, service reviews, and other strategic client engagements.

  • Take ownership of client escalations, ensuring issues are addressed quickly, transparently, and professionally while protecting the long-term client relationship.

  • Regularly assess client satisfaction and account health, identify potential concerns early, and implement corrective actions where required.

  • Ensure client feedback is understood, communicated to relevant teams, acted upon, and incorporated into delivery and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Partner with Business Development and senior leadership to identify opportunities for account growth, additional services, and long-term strategic partnerships.

  • Build client confidence in Eyepax through consistent delivery, transparent communication, technical credibility, and strong commercial awareness.

  • Support client retention and account growth by ensuring Eyepax remains a trusted and valued technology partner.

DELIVERY GOVERNANCE & OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE

  • Establish, maintain, and continuously improve the organization’s delivery governance framework, standards, controls, and ways of working.

  • Ensure consistent adoption of appropriate Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle practices, engineering standards, quality controls, and documentation requirements.

  • Define and monitor meaningful delivery KPIs covering project health, predictability, quality, productivity, utilization, financial performance, and client satisfaction.

  • Ensure appropriate governance checkpoints and management oversight are in place without creating unnecessary operational overhead.

  • Use delivery data, project retrospectives, client feedback, and lessons learned to identify systemic issues and drive measurable improvements across the organization.

  • Continuously improve delivery maturity, efficiency, quality, and predictability across teams and client engagements.

PEOPLE LEADERSHIP & PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

  • Lead, mentor, and develop Project Managers, Team Leads, Technical Leads, and other delivery leaders, empowering them to build and manage high-performing engineering teams.

  • Establish clear expectations, accountability, and measurable performance objectives for delivery leaders and teams.

  • Oversee performance management across the delivery organization, ensuring both strong performance and underperformance are addressed appropriately and in a timely manner.

  • Lead and contribute to performance appraisals, salary increment recommendations, promotions, succession planning, and talent reviews.

  • Coach managers and technical leaders on leadership, employee engagement, performance improvement, career development, and effective team management.

  • Identify organizational capability and skill gaps and work with relevant teams to establish appropriate training, coaching, recruitment, and development plans.

  • Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and development of high-quality engineering and delivery talent.

  • Develop leadership capability across the organization and build sustainable teams that are not dependent on individual managers or key employees.

PROJECT PORTFOLIO, RESOURCE & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT

  • Maintain executive oversight of the software delivery portfolio across multiple projects and client accounts.

  • Ensure appropriate resource allocation across engagements based on client priorities, technical requirements, delivery commitments, and business objectives.

  • Oversee resource capacity, utilization, forecasting, project budgets, delivery costs, and project profitability.

  • Identify capacity constraints, skill gaps, underutilization, and resource risks early and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken.

  • Ensure project estimates, budgets, resource plans, and delivery schedules are realistic and supported by appropriate technical and delivery assumptions.

  • Monitor actual delivery performance against estimates and budgets and ensure significant variances are identified, understood, and addressed.

  • Provide the CEO and senior leadership with clear, accurate, and timely reporting on delivery performance, client health, financial performance, organizational capacity, and key risks.

STRATEGIC & COMMERCIAL LEADERSHIP

  • Partner with the CEO to define and execute delivery strategy, operational priorities, organizational improvements, and growth objectives.

  • Translate company strategy into measurable delivery objectives and ensure effective execution across the delivery organization.

  • Support pre-sales activities including client discovery, solution planning, technical discussions, project estimation, delivery planning, and proposal development.

  • Ensure commitments made during the sales and estimation process can be realistically delivered within the proposed timeline, budget, resource model, and technical approach.

  • Work collaboratively with Business Development to ensure a smooth transition from sales to delivery and maintain continuity in the client relationship.

  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery efficiency, profitability, scalability, and organizational capability.

  • Represent Eyepax professionally in executive client meetings, strategic discussions, partner engagements, and relevant industry events.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.

  • 7–10+ years of progressive experience in software delivery, project/program management, technology consulting, or related roles, including significant experience leading multiple software delivery teams.

  • Strong technical understanding of modern software development, architecture, cloud technologies, DevOps, CI/CD, software quality, security, and engineering best practices, enabling effective engagement with engineering teams, evaluation of delivery risks, and constructive challenge of estimates and technical assumptions.

  • Proven experience managing multiple concurrent software projects, client accounts, and cross-functional Agile engineering teams.

  • Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong, long-term client relationships within a software consulting, technology services, or similar client-facing environment.

  • Strong understanding of Agile, Scrum, Kanban, SDLC, software delivery governance, and modern software development practices.

  • Strong commercial understanding, including project budgeting, resource utilization, forecasting, project profitability, and delivery financial management.

  • Demonstrated experience in people leadership, performance management, organizational governance, and operational improvement.

  • Exceptional client-facing communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and presentation skills.

  • Prior hands-on experience as a Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, Technical Lead, or similar technical role.

  • PMP, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), SAFe, or equivalent professional certification.

  • Exposure to AWS, Azure, GCP, SaaS architectures, AI-enabled solutions, AI-assisted software development, and digital transformation initiatives.
